The people's champion Jimmy White is in action against Kurt Maflin in round one of the PTC event 4 in Germany today

White has found form again on the tour this year, earning a place in the Premier League through the World Seniors as well as producing fine results in PTC events.

He begins his Paul Hunter Classic campaign against the young man from Norway, who is enjoying his best year as a professional player.

The 28 year-old qualified for the final stages of a major ranking event for the first time at the 2011 China Open, losing 5-4 to Ding Junhui in the last 32 despite leading 4-1.

He also recorded a 147 break in a PTC event last year and will be confident of pulling off a shock when he faces veteran White over a short format tomorrow.

The winner will take on either Mark Davis or Bjorn Haneveer in the next round later in the day.

The match gets underway at 11.30am and will be streamed live online.
