Masters champion Ding Junhui faces Australian star Neil Robertson in the second semi-final of the Premier League week eight tonight.

Both players currently sit on 10 points going into their final week in the league stage, with Robertson in second spot and Ding occupying third.

A win for either tonight would secure their place in the Play-offs in Norfolk at the end of the month, while the other would need to bank on other results going their way over the final two weeks.

Robertson has seemingly recaptured his top form on the PTC tour in recent months, winning two events and beating countless top players along the way. According to 2010 world champion Robertson, his form is: "The best it's ever been".

He will be hoping to demonstrate that in front of the TV cameras tonight by seeing off the young Chinese ace.

Ding was victorious in week six in Stoke and has produced a number of fine breaks this season, making him a threat to the Aussie.

He goes into the game as a slight underdog though given his opponent's resurgent form of late. He is priced at EVS with Bet365 to reach the week eight final, with Robertson the narrow 4/5 favourite.

The pair last met in the league this season for the week three final, in a game which saw Robertson produce a stunning performance to dismantle Ding 3-1 with high breaks of 109 and 140.

The winner of their latest encounter will take on either Judd Trump or Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final later in the evening.

The match begins at 9pm from Guildhall, Southampton and will be streamed live over the best of five frames, with the 20 second shot clock in operation.
