Ding Junhui faces Judd Trump in the final of PTC Event 2 and the bookmakers have Ding as the slight favourite to beat Trump

The young pair will battle it out for the £10,000 first prize at the South West Snooker Academy.

Chinese sensation Ding's day began with a narrow 4-3 victory over Graeme Dott; he then beat Ryan Day in the quarter-finals before taking out fellow Chinese player Xiao Guodong in a last frame decider.

Trump kicked off with a tense victory against former world champion Neil Robertson, he then went on to dispatch Yu Delu 4-1 and proceeded to whitewash Fergal O'Brien, bringing the Irishman's good run to an end.

The last meeting between the two came at the Crucible in April, with Trump edging a terrific game 17-15 en route to the World Championship final.

Both players are known for their attacking style and long potting ability, which should make for a fitting end to what has been a fine tournament.

Live coverage will begin at 7pm on table one and will be the best of seven frames.
