The new non-ranking event will capitalise on the growing popularity of the sport in Brazil.
Five players with world titles to their names are set to compete, including Crucible king Stephen Hendry, six times world champion Steve Davis and 2004 world champion Graeme Dott.
They will be joined by the likes of Shaun Murphy, Ali Carter, Australian Open winner Stuart Bingham and Snooker's hottest property - Mark Selby.
Brazil's number one Igor Figueiredo, who featured in the World Open last season, is also among the line up and will be looking to wow his home crowd against Jamie Cope on day one.
2007 world champion Shaun Murphy and seven times crucible king Stephen Hendry await their first round opponents from the Brazilian wild card qualifiers.
The tournament opens up with the stand out first round tie of Shanghai Masters champion Mark Selby against the winner of ranking event one Stuart Bingham.
Ali Carter takes on Snooker legend Steve Davis on Friday to conclude the first round matches.
Northern Ireland youngster Mark Allen withdrew from the event, meaning that Martin Gould takes his place and play Ricky Walden in round one on Friday.
The tournament runs from September 15 to 18 at the Costão do Santinho resort in Santa Catarina, and contains a prize fund of 200,000USD.
Selected matches are to be streamed live online.
