The Brazil Masters invitational line-up has been announced, with a number of top stars set to ply their trade in the all new event next month.

The new non-ranking event, which runs from September 15 to 18 at the Costão do Santinho resort in Santa Catarina, will capitalise on the growing popularity of the sport in Brazil.

Five players with world titles to their names are set to compete, including Crucible king Stephen Hendry, six times world champion Steve Davis and 2004 world champion Graeme Dott.

They will be joined by the likes of Shaun Murphy, the Jester Mark Selby, Ali Carter and Australian Open winner Stuart Bingham.

Brazil's number one Igor Figueiredo, who featured in the World Open last season, is also among the line up.

He will be joined by two Brazilian wild cards who must come through a qualifying event.

The draw for the first round has already been made, with a number of stand-out ties topping the bill, including numerous major winner Mark Selby against the much improved Stuart Bingham, as well as the captain Ali Carter against legend Steve Davis.

The announcement that Mark Allen has withdrawn from the event means that Martin Gould will now take his place and play Ricky Walden in round one.
