William Hill make current Four Nations Champions, Australia, the red-hot 2/7 favourites to win the 2013 Rugby World Cup.

The RFL has confirmed the 2013 Rugby League World Cup will take place across four countries, and William Hill believe the Aussies will be the team to beat.

New Zealand are 7/2 second favourites, while England are 7/1. The next closest competitors are France, Fiji and Samoa, all priced at 100/1.

Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly told Bettingpro.com: “Australia produced some fantastic performances while in England during the Four Nations and we are hard pressed to find any team that will be able to stand up to the might of the Kangaroos.

“England’s march to the Final, however, confounded early predictions and showed the effect that a home crowd can have on the players.”

Latest William Hill odds:

Rugby League World Cup 2013 Outright: 2/7 Australia; 7/2 New Zealand; 7/1 England; 100/1 France; 100/1 Fiji; 100/1 Samoa; 125/1 Papua New Guinea; 150/1 Tonga; 150/1 Ireland; 150/1 Wales; 200/1 Italy; 250/1 Scotland; 500/1 Cook Islands; 500/1 USA
