Ireland favourites to beat the Springboks in Dublin on Saturday
Declan Kidney’s Irish side are being strongly back to beat the world Champions at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday according to the latest betting information released by Boylesports.
Ireland have lost their last three full international fixtures but Irish rugby fans have backed them into 4/6 from even money to beat the Springboks on their return to Lansdowne Road.
Ireland are the match favourites at 4/6 and are 10/11 at -2 in the handicap betting. Ospreys winger Tommy Bowe is the favourite to score the opening try of the game at 9/1 while Springbok flyer Bryan Habana is joint second favourite to touch down first with Leinster’s Luke Fitzgerald at 10/1.
Nicola McGeady, spokesperson for Boylesports told Bettingpro:
“The world champions have had a tough season with losses to both NZ and Australia. They have a number of big stars on the injured list but they are still a formidable outfit and Ireland will have to perform to their best to secure the result.”
