Vesty 6/4 To Start At Fly-half Against Barbarians

Leicester's utility back, Sam Vesty, is one of six uncapped players called up by Martin Johnson to face the Barbarians at Twickenham on May 30th and Sky Bet make him 6/4 to start at fly-half. 

With Toby Flood sidelined due to an Achilles injury, Sky Bet make Andy Goode 6/5 favourite to start as fly-half in next Saturday’s friendly. Tom May, who has been playing at fly-half for Newcastle, is included in the squad and is 11/4 to start there at Twickenham on May 30th.

Sky Bet’s rugby union compiler, Simon McMinn, said: “After Vesty’s fine performances for Leicester at fly-half guiding them to the Guinness Premiership title and Heineken Cup final, Martin Johnson might be tempted to give him a start in the friendly against the Barbarians to see how he handles the international stage.”

After being left out of England’s squad for the summer Test series against Argentina, Danny Cipriani is an even money chance with Sky Bet to start an autumn international. The Wasps star is 8/11 not to start any of England’s autumn internationals.
