England and Australia put up their unbeaten records in this year’s Four Nations this Saturday with the Kangaroos well aware of the threat Steve McNamara’s men pose.

England and Australia go head-to-head in the second match of Saturday’s double header at Wembley Stadium with both teams looking to move clear at the top of the group.

Australia are overwhelming favourites to win the Four Nations tournament and can be backed at 1/7 odds-on with Bet365 to see off England, while McNamara’s men are on offer at 5/1 with the draw available at 33/1.

Australia opened up their Four Nations campaign last Friday with a 26-12 win over defending champions New Zealand, while England put in a strong performance to beat Wales 42-4.

Steve McNamara has opted to look outside the box this year with the inclusions of NRL stars Jack Reed and Chris Heighington, while Gareth Ellis and Gareth Widdop are once again selected after impressing down under.

The inclusion of so many NRL stars means the Kangaroos have some knowledge on their opponents and Wests Tigers and Australia centre Chris Lawrence knows how dangerous his club team-mate Ellis can be.

Lawrence said: “I think he is one of the best back rowers in the game. I get the pleasure of playing week in and week out with him and playing on the same side with him.

"I know what he can do on attack and defence and his work rate is just outstanding. He has been one of our most consistent players the last three years so it will be a big challenge coming up against him."

Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens will be hoping Greg Inglis is fit enough to take to the field against England at Wembley after a long injury lay-off with one of Lawrence or Willie Tonga likely to miss out.

If Lawrence does get the nod to start against England then he can be backed at 11/1 with Paddy Power  to cross for the game’s first try, while Akuila Uate (6/1) and Darius Boyd (8/1) all look dangerous for the Aussies.

In the win over Wales, England fullback Sam Tomkins grabbed four tries and he can be backed at 12/1 to be the first try scorer, while team-mates Reed (20/1) and Rangi Chase (22/1) can also cause problems.

Many experts cannot see past an Australian win, but playing in front of huge crowd at Wembley could spur England on so backing them with a 16 point start in the handicap market is a good bet at 10/11 with Stan James, although you can back Australia -16 at the same price with BetFred.
