The 2011 Four Nations Series gets underway this weekend with Australia the clear favourites to win the tournament.

The Four Nations is an International Rugby League event which will feature defending champions New Zealand, Australia, England and Wales and will be held from Friday October 28 until Saturday November 17.

The Aussies, who lost the final to New Zealand on home soil in 2010, can be backed as the overwhelming 2/5 odds- on favourites to win the tournament, while holders New Zealand are next in line at 3/1 with Bet365.

Steve McNamara’s England side, who had a disappointing campaign Down Under in 2010, are third favourites to win the tournament at 6/1, with competition new boys Wales rank outsiders at 150/1.

The opening game of the tournament sees Australia and New Zealand lock horns at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington on Friday with the Kangaroos 1/8 favourites with Victor Chandler following their 42-6 friendly win a few weeks ago. The Kiwis can be backed at 9/2 with the draw on offer at 33/1.

The following day tournament hosts England take on Wales at the Leigh Sports Village with the match kicking off at 2.30pm.

The following week sees Wembley Stadium host a rugby league international match for the first time since 1997 with a special double header. Wales will face New Zealand at 1300 GMT before hosts England tackle Australia at 1530.

After the Wembley showcase round, the final week of group fixtures sees New Zealand travel to Hull to play England at the KC Stadium on Saturday November 12, kick off 6.00pm, with Australia making the trip to the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham to face Wales on Sunday November 13, Kick off 5.45pm. 

The final of the tournament will be played at Elland Road, Leeds, the venue of the 2009 Gillette Fusion Four Nations Final, on Saturday November 19, kick off 6.00pm.
