The Chiefs are currently joint first on the overall rankings with 49 points, alongside the Stormers, and they will be looking for their 10th win of the campaign. The Chiefs are top of the New Zealand Conference.

The Bulls are not having a bad season also and they are in fourth place and keen to move closer to the Chiefs and Stormers by picking up win number nine this Friday. The Bulls find themselves second on the South African Conference ladder.

The Chiefs come into this clash on the back of a bye, while the Bulls were narrowly beaten 16-11 away at the Highlanders.

The Chiefs have opted to make six changes to their starting line-up as they look to keep up their title hopes.

Props Ben Afeaki and Toby Smith, hooker Hika Elliot, number eight Kane Thompson, centre Jackson Willison and scrum-half Tawera Kerr-Barlow all come in following defeat to the Reds two weeks ago.

Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has only made one change to his team with Wilhelm Steenkamp moving into the second row with Juandre Kruger dropping to the bench.

Ludeke has been boosted with the news that Dewald Potgieter and CJ Stander have both been cleared to play after picking up knocks against the Highlanders.

Leading Super Rugby specialists Luxbet have the Chiefs as the favourites to win this game and can be backed at $1.48, while the Bulls are on offer at 2.70.
