Free £50 bet on the 2012 Boat Race

The 2012 Boat Race will see Cambridge and Oxford battle it out on the River Thames, with Oxford warm favourites.
The 2012 Boat Race takes place this coming Saturday and Ladbrokes are offering new customers a free £50 bet

On Saturday 7 April, Oxford and Cambridge will renew their historic rivalry when they clash oars on the River Thames in the University Boat Race.

These two university rowing teams have been battling it out since 1829 and the great news is that new Ladbrokes customers can sign up and get a £50 free bet which can be used to place on the 2012 Boat Race.

Ladbrokes will be providing a wide range of betting markets on the four-mile event which starts in Putney and passes through Hammersmith and Barnes before the finish line at Mortlake.

Last year’s winners were Oxford and they are the hot favourites at 1/2 to retain their crown although it should be remembered that the Dark Blues were the outsiders last time and Cambridge will be hungry for revenge this time around.

The Light Blues are a 6/4 shot and we can be sure that both crews will be backed by new and existing Ladbrokes customers before Saturday afternoon when the boats are set on to the Thames in a bid to win the latest instalment of this historic series.

Ladbrokes are probably the best bookmaker when it comes to betting on the Boat Race considering that they are the oldest standing firm in the UK and were the first to offer odds on whether Cambridge and Oxford would win each year.

Oxford currently have 76 wins on the board and trail Cambridge by four, with the Light Blues having chalked up 80 successes.

You can currently bet on the Race Winner, the Winning Distance, Winning Time and which crew will win the toss.
