2009’s leading miler Mastercraftsman has been retired to stud and will stand at Coolmore in Ireland.

A fee of €20,000 has been set for the three-year-old, who landed four Group 1s in his illustrious career, with wins in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and St. James's Palace Stakes this season.

Christy Grassick, manager of Coolmore explained: "Mastercraftsman was a top class racehorse winning four Group 1 races at 6f, 7f and 1m. He's a European Champion two-year-old by Britain and Ireland's champion sire elect Danehill Dancer and comes from the family of champion sires Capote and Broad Brush. We think he offers outstanding value at €20,000."

Outstanding stayer Yeats will also head to stud after a remarkable career that saw him win four Asct Gold Cups and he will start his second career at a fee of €10,000.  Meanwhile, Arlington Million winner Powerscourt transfers from Kentucky to Ireland following the emergence of Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Termagant from his first crop.
