The advance going is ‘Soft’ but ‘Good to Soft’ in places on the chase course, ‘Heavy’ in places on the hurdles course and we have all the expert tips for the race.Race 1 (Newbury 12.20) – Tango De Juilley only won a three-runner affair in his native France but certainly handled testing ground well so has to be respected. Also included is Schism, a good winner at Leicester for AP McCoy.Race 2 (Newbury 12.50) – Lightly raced My Boy Paddy has optimum conditions and goes well fresh so is included along with Minella Stars, who probably was in need of the run when third at Exeter last time out.Race 3 (Newbury 1.25) – Ericht, sixth in the Champion Bumper last term, ran well enough on his hurdles bow and now has his favoured soft ground. We rate him a banker selection for this maiden contest.Race 4 (Newbury 2.00) – Polisky’s third to Fingal Bay last time out reads well in this company and he has an outstanding opportunity to open his hurdles account. He also rates as banker material.Race 5 (Newbury 2.35) – Only the winner counts in this four-runner graduation chase which looks to be at the mercy of Time For Rupert if he is anywhere close to his best.
