Pastoral Player is the horse attracting the cash at StanJames.com for tomorrow's Victoria Cup handicap at Ascot.

Stan James's Rory Jiwani says, "The Victoria Cup is a tough puzzle to crack at the best of times but the forecast testing ground potentially adds another layer of confusion. Pastoral Player won the Challenge Cup for Hughie Morrison at Ascot in October and the five-year-old is 8/1 from 14/1 to make a winning reappearance tomorrow. He now shares favouritism with Amy Weaver's Tariq Too who is seeking a hat-trick.

"The other horse attracting support today is Fathsta who was sixth in the race for David Simcock and owner Dr Marwan Koukash last year. The gelding races off 10 pounds lower tomorrow and he is 20/1 from 28/1 while Dr Koukash's other runner, Lincoln hero Brae Hill, is easy to back at 14/1.
