Twice Over added the Coral-Eclipse Stakes to his mightily impressive CV under a masterful ride from Tom Queally at Sandown on Saturday afternoon.

The five-year-old took the race to his rivals three furlongs from home and the five-year-old accelerated well clear of his rivals after Dar Re Mi had led the Champion Stakes winner for the duration of the race.

The fast finishing Sri Putra and Viscount Nelson almost swept past the winner approaching the line, but Queally had timed his fractions to perfection and the Group One was already in the bag for Henry Cecil’s superstar.

A delighted Queally said: "There was no pace and if the Gosden filly had gone on she'd have set slower fractions than I did.

"It was different tactics to Ascot. In the Prince of Wales's Stakes you wouldn't have ridden him as boldly as this but he stayed well the last time.

"He's a real stable star and it means a lot."
