Triple Crown dreams on both sides of the Atlantic

The impressive Investec Derby winner, Camelot, is 1-3 with Coral to win September's Ladbrokes St Leger and complete an historic Triple Crown, while across the Atlantic, I'll Have Another is 5-4 favourite to win the Belmont Stakes to land American racing's Triple Crown.

"The wait for a Triple Crown winner in the US has lasted 34 years, since Affirmed in 1978, while over here we have waited even longer to witness a horse emulate Nijinsky's year of triumph in 1970, but now incredibly there are leading contenders for the honour on both sides of the Atlantic," said Coral's David Stevens.

"I'll Have Another is 5-4 favourite for the Belmont following his wins in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, while Camelot looks to have the Doncaster Classic at his mercy at 1-3 on," added Stevens.

With the Derby winner's next race yet to be decided, the sponsor has trimmed Aidan O'Brien's charge to 9-4 (from 11-4) in a Coral-Eclipse match bet with the also unbeaten Frankel, who is 1-3 (from 1-4) to come out on top should the pair clash at Sandown.

"A Coral-Eclipse clash of the generations between the two unbeaten superstars would be a dream scenario for us as sponsors, and although it remains just a possibility at this stage, punters did think the 11-4 about the younger Camelot coming out on top was too big, and have backed it accordingly, safe in the knowledge that stakes will be refunded if the clash does not take place at Sandown next month," said Stevens.

Camelot is also 11-4 favourite for the Qatar Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe, for which the Prix Du Jockey Club winner, Saonois, is 20-1.
