The Ladbroke latest odds - Prospect Wells 4/1 for Ascot

Prospect Wells has hardened at the head of the market for The Ladbroke at Ascot on Saturday and Betfred now make Paul Nicholls’ novice the 4/1 favourite (from 6/1).
 
A total of 21 horses remain in the race following the latest declaration stage and there has also been a move for Gibb River who is now a 10/1 shot (from 12/1). Viva Colonia has also come in for some support and has been cut to 14/1 (from 16/1) by Betfred.
 
"It’s very interesting that Paul Nicholls is thinking about going down the handicap route with Prospect Wells given his novice status and punters clearly think he’s well in given the money for him over the past week," Betfred spokesman George Primarolo explained to Bettingpro.
 
Looking ahead to the Christmas period, Kauto Star is a 9/2 shot with Betfred for the King George VI Chase on Boxing Day following the news that he will defintely run in the race alongside stablemate Master Minded. Long Run remains the 11/8 favourite to defend his crown.
 
There has been further support for Viking Blond in the Coral Welsh National and Betfred now make Nigel Twiston-Davies’ gelding 12/1 (from 14/1) for the Chepstow marathon.
