The best racehorse in the world, Sea The Stars, has returned home in good shape following his course-record breaking effort in the Juddmonte International at York on Tuesday.

The dual-Classic and Coral Eclipse winning hero added another Group 1 to his flourishing C.V. beating Aidan O’Brien’s Mastercraftsman in a four runner race.

The son of Cape Cross will now go to Leopardstown to tackle the Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes, ground permitting, where Ballydoyle will use Fame And Glory in a bid to blemish Sea The Star’s record.

After justifying his odds of 1/2, John Oxx said today: "He's very well. He was fresher after the race yesterday than he was after the Eclipse. He looked a little tired after the Eclipse but it was a hot day.

"He ate up everything last night and he's fine. He just had a walk out this morning and it was a good journey for him. It only took four hours door-to-door on the way home."

The Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on September 5 is the three-year-old's next target, while the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes, the Sony-sponsored Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the Breeders' Cup Classic also on the horse’s radar.

He has been installed the 1/2 favourite for the Irish Champion Stakes, with bookmaker PaddyPower.
