It was a blistering pace set by pacemakers Rockhampton and Set Sail but it made no distance as the winner effortlessly picked off Mastercraftsman and Fame And Glory approaching the final furlong. He scored by the best part of two lengths. Sea The Stars's next target could be the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on October 4 and Victor Chandler cut him to 7-4 favourite (from 4-1) for that contest.
