The All-Weather circuits are proving invaluable during this current cold spell and punters could do worse than back CEREMONIAL JADE, who is chasing his ninth career success in the featured Super 7 Handicap (Qualifier) at Lingfield on Saturday (2.10).

Marco Botti's seven-year-old had most of the summer off and as a result would have needed the run when well down the field here on his first run back in November. On his next start, he looked more like the force of old when finishing a close third in a Listed race at Kempton just before Christmas and has already been ear-marked for a race at the Dubai Carnival early next month. He can pay for his plane ticket to Meydan by landing this prize for his in-form trainer.

Trainer Michael Jarvis doesn't have many runners on the All-Weather but when he does it's worth sitting up and taking notice, especially during the month of January when he has an almost one-in three strike rate. His sole representative at Lingfield (3.10) is LEARO DOCHAIS, who wears blinkers for the first time and is able to race off a 2lb lower mark than his last winning rating. It looks like connections mean business and punters are advised to get on early as I can see a gamble developing.

Mark Johnston's Lovers Causeway will be a warm order in the maiden on the same card (1.05) after finishing runner-up on his latest start at Wolverhampton. That wasn't much of a race, though, and I reckon he could go off artificially short due to his connections. While Johnston has a fair strike rate at Lingfield (17%), it is much better at the two most northerly All-Weather tracks - Southwell and Wolverhampton - and his colt looks worth taking on here.

Lay him in Betfair's win market and go for the double whammy by backing SEPTEMBERINTHERAIN in the same race. Terry Mills' well-bred grey was having only his second run when staying on to be fourth to Con Artist over 1m here in November and he should relish this extra quarter of a mile.

Over at Kempton, a 6lb penalty is unlikely to stop TIDDLIWINKS going in again (2.55) as he won as he pleased over course and distance last Sunday. The lightly-raced four-year-old now has a 41211 record on Polytrack and his penalty is all but negated by Amy Ryan's 5lb allowance. Her father Kevin Ryan trains the horse and his All-Weather record with runners aged four and above in the past five seasons stands at an impressive 44 winners from 232 runners (19%, £30 level-stakes profit). The selection is strongly fancied to be No.45.

Selections:

1.05 Lingfield Septemberintherain (Lay Lovers Causeway)
2.10 Lingfield Ceremonial Jade
3.10 Lingfield Learo Dochais
2.55 Kempton Tiddliwinks
