Saturday is the final day of a fantastic week of racing at Royal Ascot and there are some excellent opportunities for punters to put the final nail in the coffins of bookmakers up and down the country.

This week has been a hugely successful one for punters at Royal Ascot, with Canford Cliffs and Frankel starting the party on Day One before Fame and Glory and Brown Panther went in on Thursday. Friday's racing was also successful for favourite backers, with the much fancied Nathaniel claiming victory in the King Edward VII Stakes at a nicely priced 11/4.

The trend looks set to continue on Saturday, with Await the Dawn looking a sure thing in the 3.05 Hardwicke Stakes. The Aidan O'Brien trained horse looked like a superstar in the making when winning the Group 3 Huxley at Chester last month and the in-form Ryan Moore will be desperate for a winner, as he attempts to take the top jockey title and it looks a no-brainer at odds of 4/5, with bet365. The O'Brien/Moore team were turned over on Thursday, when So You Think was pipped by Rewilding in the Prince of Wales's Stakes and they admitted afterwards that they had perhaps suffered from over-confidence. The old adage of 'once bitten, twice shy' should ensure that doesn't happen in the Hardwicke.

It is, of course, easy to select an odds-on horse and far more difficult to pick out a winner at double figures but that's what we're trying to do in the 4.25 Wokingham Stakes. Deacon Blues is currently 10/1 at William Hill but the odds are dropping rapidly and that is because James Fanshawe's charge looks certain to go very, very close on Saturday. He caught the eye over course and distance last month, when a narrow second to Imperial Guest and he is sure to come on for that run. He is a progressive sort who will be winning big races before long and we'll take him to start in the Wokingham.

Our final pick of the day, and of the whole week, comes in the lucky last and we're backing Overturn to have us saying a fond farewell to Royal Ascot with our pockets bulging. The classy hurdler made all and won the Northumberland Plate in 2010 when switched to the flat and then did the same in the Chester Cup this year. Eddie Ahern has been in sparkling form this week, winning the Royal Hunt Cup on Julienas and the Ascot Stakes on Veiled. The popular jockey can make it a hat-trick with Overturn in the Queen Alexandra and Victor Chandler are taking a risk by offering 4/1
