There will be a strong British representation at Longchamp on Tuesday night with trainers Tom Dascombe and Aidan O’Brien running several runners on the Grand Prix de Paris card.

Lambourn trainer, Tom Dascombe, has several challengers on the undercard and his main hopes lie with his two-year-old Barzan in the Listed Prix Roland de Chambure.  A fifth to Corporal Maddox in the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom last time out, he tackles seven runners headed by Colonia, trained by Andre Fabre and the unbeaten American Nizzy.

Of the chances of his juvenile he said:  "I think Barzan would have a great chance actually."

"He is better than the bare form of his Epsom run and the step up to seven furlongs will suit him down to the ground."

The trainer’s Faldal may have a little more strength of opposition against her when she tackles the likes of Shamikiya when stepping up to a mile and a half for the following Listed race, the Prix de Thiberville.

The trainer said: "She came back a bit jarred up after her last run at Goodwood.  She's better than that and we're trying a new trip. She should love a mile and a half and love the ground and I think we are going there with realistic chances of picking up some black type."

Meanwhile Aidan O’Brien will tackle the Grand Prix de Paris, the highlight of the card, with no less than four runners.  In opposition will be well-regarded Arc hopeful, Beheshtam, but the Ballyodyle maestro is confident of a strong challenge from his runners.  He said: "Freemantle found the pace a little fast in his last race and he also got trapped a little for room. He will like the drying up ground.

"Age Of Aquarius is in very good form and we have given him time since the Derby. We have been targeting this race since then and I am very happy with him. He wouldn't want to the ground too soft.

"Black Bear Island ran a good race at Ascot and we think that he has improved since then. He also is in very good order and we are hopeful of a good race."

"Hail Caesar won his last start very impressively and wore first time blinkers that day. He wears them again for this race and he has been working really well and I am pleased with him."

Grand Prix de Paris: Head of the market (Ladbrokes)

Beheshtam             13/8
Cavalryman             4/1
Age Of Aquarius    11/2
Black Bear Island    8/1
