Aidan O’Brien-trained Mars was a comfortable winner on his racecourse bow at Dundalk and has been cut to 12-1 from 16-1 by William Hill for the 2013 Epsom Derby.

Hills have also introduced Mars into their 2013 2,000 Guineas betting at 16-1.

William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said: “As with Camelot, Mars was backed even before he had set foot on a racecourse. The son of Galileo recorded his debut victory well enough but it will be easy to get excited about a promising O’Brien juvenile again this year.”
