For all-weather aficionados, there's plenty to look forward to this weekend and the William Hill January Sale - Bet Now! Handicap (a positive thought in itself!) is the pick of two Channel4-televised handicaps at Lingfield on Saturday.

Last year's winner Fajr is one of nine declared runners but he hasn't been in much form since, while Capricorn Run may have been flattered when third last time out in a muddling contest. Atlantic Story will be ridden by Jamie Spencer, but he looks plenty high enough in the weights (9st 12lb) and, besides, he might be better over 7f (this is over 1m). Ace Of Hearts is interesting on his turf form, but hasn't raced on this surface since 2002.

My idea of the winner is TITAN TRIUMPH whose trainer William Knight has a 31% strike rate at Lingfield in the past five seasons. But that's not the only reason for backing him. The five-year-old notched his third consecutive course and distance victory at the end of last month, showing a potent turn of foot on each occasion, and he is now unbeaten in three starts for Saturday's pilot Jim Crowley. This looks a great opportunity for him to land the four-timer.

The other televised handicap (2.55) can go to INTERNATIONALDEBUT, who has also won his last three starts, all at Lingfield. His latest win was by the narrowest margin but his jockey always looked in control and, despite a 5lb rise, he still looks well-treated - horses that just do enough to win are always worth following as it's hard for the handicapper to rate them.

I'm a great believer in following a sprinter in form and SMOKEY RYDER is on a five-timer after three wins in claiming company (once at this track) and a handicap success at Wolverhampton last time. That was her first run for Ron Harris, who does well with this type of horse on the all-weather, and she can go close in the 6f handicap (2.20). It's a competitive race mind you, but that should at least ensure we get a decent price.

Last week, I put Harold Bluetooth up as a horse to follow on the all-weather and the four-year-old, who is trained by David Simcock (50% strike rate this year!), is likely to run at Kempton next Wednesday - look out for him! Interestingly, he's been entered for the Lincoln Handicap for which he gets a 14/1 quote from bet365.
