Royal Lodge winner Jukebox Jury heads a list of 23 horses that have been declared for this Saturday’s Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster. Mark Johnston’s sole entry is the 5-1 favourite for the race with bookmakers William Hill.

Masterofthehorse and Freemantle head Aidan O’Brien’s assault on the final British Group 1 contest  of the season. The pair could be joined by their stable mates Drumbeat, Hail Caesar, Indian Ocean, Malibu Bay and Set Sail. The Beresford stakes runner-up Mourayan and the Jim Bolger trained Gan Amhras make up the strong raiding party from Ireland.

John Gosden has supplemented Red Spider, while Brian Meehan has left five in the race – Crowded House, Hilbre Point, Roman Glory, Skanky Biscuit and Whispering Angel.

William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny said “Saturday’s Racing Post Trophy looks like one of the most open renewals  of the race in years” He continued “Jukebox Jury’s win in the Royal Lodge entitles him to tag of favourite, but we expect one of Ballydoyle entries to head the betting once Aidan O’Brien has finalized his plans for the race”
