The Willie Mullins trained five year old, who is also the 3-1 favourite for the Champion Hurdle, will face a maximum of three rivals in the Grade 1 contest. Hurricane Fly's main rival in the race looks like it will be Solwhit. The Charles Byrnes' trained five year old has won eight of his twelve starts including last season's Aintree Hurdle and the Rabobank Champion Hurdle at Punchestown. The Noel Meade trained Muirhead and the James Morrissey trained De Valira complete the small, but select field for the Punchestown feature. William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny said "Hurricane Fly was an exceptional novice hurdler last season and it will be fascinating to see how much he's progressed since his run at the Punchestown Festival" He continued "Solwhit and Muirhead should give Hurricane Fly a real test and we'll probably know a bit more about his Champion Hurdle credentials after Sunday's race" Head to William Hill to bet on the race by following this link.
