Nicky Henderson is 6/4 to train the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle winner with Sky Bet and 25/1 to saddle a one-two-three.
The Lambourn handler trains the reigning champion Punjabi and the current ante-post favourite Binocular, who finished half a length adrift of his stable companion in third last season.
On Saturday his JCB Triumph Hurdle winner Zaynar entered the Champion picture when running away with the Coral Ascot Hurdle.
It is 6/1 he is responsible for the first and second in hurdling's blue riband in March.
Matt Doyle of Sky Bet said: ‘Henderson is in an enviable position with three of the first six in the betting and the irony is that his Punjabi is the biggest priced of the trio to retain his hurdling crown.’
Binocular is set to take his first steps on the road to Cheltenham this year in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle on Saturday and Sky Bet have installed him a 4/5 favourite for the Champion Hurdle trial.
Doyle added: ‘The Fighting Fifth is enjoying a revival in fortunes with Punjabi using it as a stepping stone to Champion Hurdle glory last year and it looks like another strong renewal with the young pretenders Binocular and Solwhit among the nine entries.’
