Richard Hannon has admitted he is thrilled with the way the sole offspring of George Washington has settled into her new environment at his yard.

The filly has a huge reputation to live up to and out of the mare Flawlessly, she cost 320,000 guineas at the Newmarket Sales earlier this month.

Owner Julie Wood was responsible for buying the filly and Richard Hannon cannot hide his enthusiasm with regards to training the high profile addition to his powerful yard.

The Wiltshire handler explained: "It is all very exciting. We don't have too many who cost a third of what this one did, so it is great for everyone at the yard to have such a quality acquisition.

"She has the looks to match her pedigree, and Julie is going to take her time finding the right name for what we all hope will prove a very special filly."

George Washington proved to be a flop at stud, covering 56 mares before he was withdrawn from duty in March 2007, having proved sub-fertile.
