2008 Racing Post Trophy winner Crowded House returns to action for his long-awaited comeback in the Al Rashidiya Sponsored By Dubal International at Meydan on Thursday, but trainer Brian Meehan believes the horse could come on for his run.

After winning the juvenile showpiece in 2008, he was favourite for the 2000 Guineas and Derby but flopped in the 2009 Dante.  He was last seen finishing sixth in the Epsom Derby, eight lengths behind six time Group One winning superstar Sea The Stars.

Now Meehan can’t wait to see his stable star back in action at Meydan.

"He's in good form and seems to be enjoying himself out here," said Meehan.

"It's been a long time since Epsom but we just decided to leave him alone a bit after that and I think he might just need the run tomorrow.

"We're looking forward to getting started with him again and I'm sure he retains all of his ability."

In opposition will be Godolphin’s Lockinge Stakes runner-up Alexandros and trainer Saeed Bin Suroor explained: "Alexandros was a bit unlucky not to win the Lockinge Stakes last year but I was a little disappointed with his latest run at Hong Kong.

"He is ready to race and has been working well recently. He will have no problem with the nine-furlong distance and I am hoping to see a nice performance on Thursday."
