The Paul Nicholls trained, Officier De Reserve, has been well backed today for the Coral Welsh National forcing the race sponsor to shorten him to 12-1 from 16-1.
Nenuphar Collonges is Coral's 5-1 favourite for the Chepstow contest, for which the weights were released today.
"This is the 36th year of our sponsorship of the Welsh National and I can't recall a more competitive renewal", said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
"The presence of Halcon Genelardais for the third year running ensures the race features a touch of class as well as being a hugely competitive handicap chase", added Clare.
