Camelot has been heavily backed to win the Derby and will cost the bookies a small fortune if it wins

Only nine colts will line up for the Epsom Derby with 2000 Guineas winner Camelot heading the market at 8/13 with Stan James.

The firm's Rory Jiwani told Bettingpro: "Was kept up Aidan O'Brien's perfect record in English Classics this season with victory in the Oaks and Camelot is 8/13 to make it four out of four for the Master of Ballydoyle. Dante winner Bonfire is 9/2 for Andrew Balding with another O'Brien horse, Astrology, an 8/1 shot.

"Main Sequence gives David Lanigan a first runner in the Derby and the Lingfield Derby trial winner is easy to back at 10/1 with Newmarket listed victor Thought Worthy a 16/1 chance and it's 33/1 bar with StanJames.com paying each-way one-quarter odds in the race.

"We also bet without the favourite with Bonfire heading that market at 6/4. Astrology is 10/3 and it's 4/1 bar.

"O'Brien could be on for a Group 1 double with St Nicholas Abbey 4/7 for the Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup. William Haggas' progressive Beaten Up is 4/1 and it's 10/1 bar in the six-runner contest. There is also the cavalry charge of the Epsom Dash with Tom Dascombe's Bear Behind and Catfish for Brian Meehan the 8/1 joint-favourites."
