Breeders Cup

The Breeders Cup is a series of races that happens over two days in Santa Anita, California. It is regarded as the best race meeting in USA and one of the best in the world. The Breeder’s Cup Classic being the biggest race of them all.

This year there is huge European interest, with a number of the best horses in Europe going over to compete. These include group one winning horses such as Duke of Marmalade, Henrythenaviagtor, Raven’s Pass, Sixties Icon, Goldikova, Soldier of Fortune, Conduit, Eagle Mountain and Halfway To Heaven

Some of Americas finest horses will also be competing, in particular Curlin – who is the stand out champion horse in America. There are 8 Grade One races and US$25.5Million in prize money over the two days.
