The Boxing Day meeting at Kempton is packed with quality races, including the King George where Long Run is the Scoop6 pick
With four races (including the King George VI Chase) from Kempton Park and two more from Wetherby, our Boxing Day Scoop6 promises to be a real thriller.
Race 1 (Kempton 1.25) - Upwardly mobile That’lldoboy should be very much in the mix in this competitive novices handicap chase and is selected along with Loch Ba, who looks very much as though his winning turn is near.
Race 2 (Wetherby 1.45) – A red-hot renewal of the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase in which there are a number of smart performers with good chances. We nominate Midnight Legend, Wayward Prince and Sarando as our leading candidates in what looks a real Christmas cracker.
Race 3 (Kempton 2.00) - RSA Chase favourite Grand Crus puts his reputation on the line and looks the one to beat, but we can’t leave out Silviniaco Conti, a horse who has the potential to also take very high rank this term.
Race 4 (Wetherby 2.20) - Only a nose separated My Arch and Simonside in a recent clash at this track and there should again be little to choose between the pair, both of whom look to have very strong claims.
Race 5 (Kempton 2.35) - Although he has to find a few pounds with last year’s winner Binocular and with the admirable Overturn, it was hard not to be very impressed with the winning performance of Rock On Ruby last time out at Newbury and we rate him a big danger to Nicky Henderson’s former Champion Hurdle winner in this Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle.
Race 6 (Kempton 3.10) - A sensational King George VI Chase in which we are very confident that last year’s winner Long Run will gain his revenge on his Haydock conqueror, the legendary Kauto Star. We make Nicky Henderson’s young star a banker selections to see us through to the final leg on a wonderful card.
Suggested Scoop6 perm – 2×3x2×2x2×1 = 48 bets
