The 2012 Open Championship runs from July 19-22 and there are a number of bookmakers offering promotions on the tournament, including Stan James who are offering to pay 1/4 odds on the first seven finishers at Royal Lytham & St Annes.

The Open Championship is one of the highlights of the summer and this year promises to be a special one with so many of the world's top golfers in excellent form.

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are back to winning ways while Luke Donald and Lee Westwood continue to sit atop the world rankings. Rory McIlroy may be in a bit of a slump but the Northern Irishman will be keen to emulate his idol Darren Clarke by winning the Claret Jug this summer.
