But Kenny 2-5 To Stay In Charge Into 2011

William Hill has shortened Richard Bruton’s odds to become the next Fine Gael leader following his dismissal for proposing a motion of no confidence in his party leader Enda Kenny.

The bookies now make Bruton their 1-3 favourite to succeed Enda Kenny as party leader. Leo Varadkar and Brian Hayes are the 8-1 joint second favourites.

Hills are also offering odds of 2-5 Kenny is still in charge of the Fine Gael Party on the 31st of December 2010, and 7-4 he isn’t.

Next Fine Gael Leader: (William Hill bet) 1-3 Richard Bruton, 8-1 Leo Varadkar, Brian Hayes, 12-1 Simon Coveney, 14-1 Denis Naughton, 14-1 Olwyn Enright, 20-1 Damien English, 25-1 Fergus O’Dowd, Phil Hogan – Others on request
