The first draft of Barack Obama's dream themed speech didn't have quite the same punch as the final draft we heard on Monday when he was confirmed as the next President of America.

There's been no escaping the comparisons of Obama's oration with Martin Luther King's historical "I have a dream.." speech, which is hardly a bad thing, but this time it's being made by a black man about to lead the country.

While the colour of his skin shouldn't matter, it does, and there's no denying that Obama's election marks a real watershed in American history. How will the reality of the job go for Obama?
