William Hill have opened betting on who will become the next Fianna Fail leader after Brian Cowen.
The current party leader and Taoiseach looks almost certain to step down after the latest public backlash against him and his government.
Micheal Martin is the 4/5 favourite for the position with
William Hill who also offer 2/1 about Mary Hanafin, 4/1 Dermot Ahern, and 6/1 Brian Lenihan.
William Hill are also offering odds of 20/1 that the Fianna Fail party is disbanded before the end of 2012.
William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny told Bettingpro:
"Micheal Martin is our warm favourite to succeed Brian Cowen, but whoever gets the post after Brian Cowen is almost certain to face a long period in opposition.”
