Lisbon Treaty Betting Visit Paddy Power Save For Later Posted by Ian Noble 12 Dec 2008 Tweet Related Articles See all Irish Political Betting news Share it Pin It In what seems like a case of political Groundhog Day for punters Paddy Power have announced significant support for a Yes vote in the planned second Lisbon Treaty referendum in Ireland. As soon as the news broke earlier today that Taoiseach Brian Cowen green-lighted a second referendum, punters wasted no time taking an interest. Paddy Power, who had been offering odds of 5-6 on both outcomes, were forced to dramatically slash the odds on a successful Yes vote from 5-6 to 4-6 after a surge of bets were placed including several bets of €5,000. The Lisbon referendum is set to resurrect painful memories for Paddy Power who famously paid out over €80,000 to punters who backed a Yes vote on polling day last year. Paddy Power said “The genius in here who called the Yes vote in last year’s Lisbon Referendum is still locked in the dungeon. Obviously we’ll be a lot more careful with the result this time and will try our best to avoid getting egg all over our face again” Lisbon Treaty Betting at paddypower.ie 4-6 Yes 11-10 NoClick here to go to Paddypower.ie Read our Paddy Power review Get your £250 free bet at Paddypower Like Like Post to wall 404 Reads All Political Betting News Recent Political Betting Articles Ireland to ditch the Euro?07 Dec 2011Ireland could be forced to the polls in 2012 to hold a referendum about ditching the Euro and it is Irish General Election betting - Fianna Fail now joint favourites06 Dec 2011Fianna Fail have gained support after an unpopular budget from Fine Gael Minister for Finance Micha Irish Government 2/1 to push legal age of drinking to 2124 Nov 2011Paddy Power have opened betting on whether or not the Irish Government will bring in new legislatio Michael D Higgins 5/2 to make South Africa the First State Visit01 Nov 2011Michael D Higgins is the new Irish President and he looks set to visit either South Africa, Britain Next Irish President - bookies pay out!28 Oct 2011Bookies Paddy Power this evening paid out over €350,000 to punters who backed Michael D Higgins to Irish government to sell Aer Lingus to Etihad Airways?17 Oct 2011The Irish government's shares in Aer Lingus look set to be the first state asset to be sold to furn More Stories Recent Articles The Ladbrokes Promotion Code 2012/2013 is MAXIMUMBONUS (£50 free bet)26 May 2012Ladbrokes launches MAXIMUMBONUS promotion codes for all new accounts Ladbrokes Mobile Promotion Code MAX gets you a £75 free bet26 May 2012Ladbrokes have a special mobile promotion code which means new customers get a free £75 bet when th Dalian Shide v Liaoning Hongyun live stream preview26 May 2012Tenth plays host to eighth in the Chinese Super League on Sunday with Dalian Shide taking on Liaoni Monaco Grand Prix Betting – Webber on pole after Schumacher demoted26 May 2012Red Bull’s Mark Webber is the 13-8 favourite with Coral bookmakers for Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix.
