Tories losing voters over expenses claims

Following the scandal over Lord Ashcroft’s expenses claims, there has been a sharp decline in support for the Conservative party to win the upcoming General Election, and Coral now make Labour 4/1, from 9/2, to win a majority share of the vote.

The firm now make it 6/4, from 13/8, that Labour retain their position in power, with a no overall majority decision, and the Tories have been pushed from 8/13 to 4/7 to get the majority of the votes, in the election, which is now certain to be in May, after it was revealed that pre-election debates will take place at the end of April.

Coral spokesman Gary Burton told Bettingpro:

“Ever since the expenses scandal of last year, support for the Tories has
been in decline, and with the latest questions surrounding Ashcroft and
Hague, the British public are losing confidence in Cameron and co,”
