3,546 players entered the Full Tilt Poker Sunday $750,000 on May 4, 2008. The site, which is home to Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Phil Ivey and Howard Lederer, paid out more than $40,000 to meet that guarantee. As the final table got underway, billytk01 had a commanding lead with more than 2,000,000 chips.

IKeepYouHonest was in the middle of the pack with his stack. However, he hit the rails first when calbears22 turned over big slick. domer79 followed soon after when LIAandTONYsDAD made the nut flush on the turn with his Ah,Qh. domer79 earned more than $13,000 for his eighth place finish.

TheAsianVampire then kicked his game into high gear by knocking out the next three players. LIAandTONYsDAD stopped his streak by ending the tournament life of gawyn in fourth place. At this point, billytk01 reasserted his dominance and sucked the essence from TheAsianVampire. TheAsianVampire’s third place finish was good for $52,500.

billytk01 then drew final blood and KOd LIAandTONYsDAD in a heads-up match up.

These are the final results:

1) billytk01 - $132,788

2) LIAandTONYsDAD - $80,250

3) TheAsianVampire - $52,500

4) gawyn - $41,400

5) Outkicked - $31,050

7,001 players took to the virtual felt on at PokerStars on Sunday May 4, 2008. They drove the Sunday Million prize pool up to an impressive $1.4 million. When the final table began, five of the nine remaining players had more than 10 million in chips.

hobbybob had the initial chip lead and took out the eighth place finisher, redhookesb. However, Iron Henry cut a swath of devastation among the final table, claiming the remaining chips of fiddski (7th), jlost88 (5th) and etushekki (4th). He made it to heads-up play against ShankingYou who defeated Duffman08 in sixth place and hobbybob in third place.

As the two titans faced each other heads up, ShankingYou was at a clear disadvantage. Iron Henry had 12,000,000 more chip than he did. A by-the-chips chop was rejected by Henry until ShankingYou evened the score. At that point, both players agreed to take home at least $132,421.20 with an extra $30k and the title going to the last person standing.

On the final hand, ShankingYou was behind in chips at a more than 2-to-1 deficit. The river brought Iron Henry bottom pair, giving him the win.

Here are the final results:

1) Iron Henry - $163,421

2) ShankingYou - $133,421

3) hobbybob - $70,010

4) etushekki - $56,008

5) jlost88 - $42,006

6) Duffman08 - $30,804

7) fiddski - $21,703

8) redhookesb - $12,602

9) ROCKHOUND23 - $8,261

Ultimate Bet saw a slight rebound in attendance on the first Sunday of May, 2008 at their $200,000 Guarantee. Unfortunately, the 828 players weren’t enough to meet that guarantee, prompting the online home of Annie Duke to dole out nearly $40,000 for the event.

The final table was chock-full of online talent including Brock “Maria Nuccia” Parker. Parker, who finished in tenth place this week, is also known as “t soprano”, has cashed all over the net, winning nearly $400,000 in tournaments to date. His tenth place finish added $2,000 to his lifetime take.

Mescalin8, a relative newcomer to the scene, took fourth place and $13,000 for his efforts. Last month, he had a third place finish at the Poker Stars Sunday Million and netted over $72k, his biggest cash to date.

mhrep made it all the way to heads-up play. This is mhrep’s fourth appearance at a UB.com $200k final table – and his biggest finish yet. He’s earned more than $44,000 in this event, $27,000 of that came this past weekend.

However, the heads-up match and the title belonged to Jess “JohnnyCashOut” Newman. Newman is another newcomer (at least under this moniker) and has made quite a splash, earning more than $50k in just two weeks of play. With stats like these, it won’t be long before JohnnyCashOut is cashing out six figure paydays consistently.

These are the final results:

1) JohnnyCashOut — $45,000

2) mhrep — $27,000

3) loolu — $18,500

4) mescalin8 — $13,000

5) pebs44 — $11,000

6) spotty8 — $9,000

7) PeopleMover — $7,000

8) TheFlow — $5,000

9) padron1962 — $3,500

10) Maria Nuccia — $2,000

Bodog also saw an increase in attendance at its Weekly $100,000 Guaranteed on Sunday May 4, 2008. They went up to 765 entrants, which was ninety more than last weekend’s tournament. However, Bodog still had to pay out more than $23,000 to meet the guarantee. Due to an anomaly, the top spot was set to receive $23,600 instead of the usual $25,000.

As the final table got underway, a host of online poker talents were still in the thick of the action. Four of the top five finishers were CobaltBlue, Astrolux85, HB_Hitman and the eventual champ, Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin. Between the four of them, they’ve earned more than $800,000 online.

These are the final results:

1) basebaldy — $23,600

2) CobaltBlue — $13,600

3) fackinamazin — $9,100

4) Astrolux85 — $7,000

5) HB_Hitman — $5,700

6) Rataveli — $4,500

7) MrPVol — $3,300

8) WillieHop — $2,200

9) eagleseye3 — $1,300
