The Unibet Open is one of the top poker tours in Europe, with fields of around 300 players regularly battling it out for six-figure top prizes in some of the continent’s most glamorous locations..
The 2012 season will see it become more than just a poker tour, with various other activities and attractions transforming the Unibet Open into a comprehensive festival of Unibet games and gaming.
The first Unibet Open stop of 2012 sees us return to Prague for the third time. As in previous years, the award-winning Hilton Prague will provide both tournament venue and accommodation for all our players over four days from February 16th-19th.
Tournaments
The Main Event is a €1,500+150 NLH freezeout with a 20,000 starting stack and 60 minute blind
levels. The side events include a €200 Omaha Bounty event, a two-day €400 Deepstack event, a
Ladies’ event, the Unibet Team Challenge event and a €200 Six-Max event, as well as daily turbo
tournaments and cash games available on demand.
Live Blackjack Final
Following the success of our first ever Live Blackjack Final at Unibet Open Riga in December where
Andrei Krawczyk walked away with €8,000 for first place, we will be doing it all over again in Prague
but this time it’s going to be even bigger and better. Eighteen players who qualify by playing blackjack
online in the Unibet Casino will be flown out to Prague to compete for a share of the €23,000 prize
pool on Saturday February 18th, with the winner taking home €8,000.
Live Betting Final
Unibet Open Prague will also play host to our first ever Live Betting Final. Eight online qualifiers will
each win a package worth €1,800 to fly out to Prague and take part in the Live Betting Final on Sunday February 19th. They’ll be playing for a €10,000 prize pool, with the winner getting €5,000. In addition, each of the finalists will receive a Samsung Galaxy tablet computer which they will use during the Live Betting Final, and will be theirs to keep no matter where they finish.
The Poker Million Live Final
Throughout January and early February we have been running the €25,000 Rake Race, with the top
50 winners getting a share of €25,000. In addition, the top six players will win €800 travel packages to play in the Poker Million Live Final, a six-handed sit ‘n’ go that will take place in Prague on February 19th. The starting stacks will be between 5,000 and 12,000 for each player dependent on where they finished in the rake race, and the winner of the sit ‘n’ go will get to draw for a potential €1 million prize.
Welcome Drinks & Players’ Party
The Unibet Open prides itself on its reputation for player hospitality, and we will be continuing that
tradition in Prague with Welcome Drinks on February 16th at the Cloud 9 bar on the top floor of the
Hilton Prague, and the Unibet Open Players’ Party on February 18th at the Zlaty Strom club in the
Old Town.
Leaderboard
Unibet Poker have got a completely new Leaderboard structure for 2012 – there will be no prize pool deductions
this season, and the top three players at the end of the year will win sponsorship to Unibet Open
events in 2013. Three places will pay out the following:
1) 1st place - 4 full packages to Unibet Open Live events and 3 seats to Unibet Open Online events
2) 2nd place - 3 full packages to Unibet Open Live events
3) 3rd place - 3 seats to Unibet Open Online events
