Paddy Power Poker’s Irish Poker Open begins airing on TG4 beginning May 6th, 2009.

Paddy Power Poker will air on TG4 as eight, one hour programs beginning on May 6, 2009 at 11.30 pm. Eric Booth, Head of Poker at PaddyPowerPoker.com said, “We are proud to partner with TG4 for the broadcasting of this year’s Irish Open. This is our flagship poker festival and it’s important to us that as many people as possible get to experience the highs, the lows and all the excitement that the Irish Open promises!”

Winmedia Ireland Ltd will produce the shows for TG4. Their head of sport, Rónán Ó Coisdealbha, stated that, “We are delighted to be involved with Paddy Power for this event and to bring this prestigious tournament to poker fans all over Ireland on national television.”

Easter weekend welcomed hundreds of player, some of whom are the most recognized in the poker world, to Dublin and the CityWest Hotel for the tournament.
