The Unibet Open is one of the most exciting poker tours in Europe, and is about to make its next stop in London.
Our last outing took us to Paris, where almost 450 players battled it out over a €654,000 prize pool and a €140,000 top prize. This time around we expect the London event to be bigger and better than ever! While the world’s best athletes descend on the city this summer, Luxbet will be making preparations for our best ever festival - it is a huge year for London and it’s going to be a huge year for poker at the Unibet Open.
This is the third time that the Unibet Open has come to London and it is going to be a real festival of Unibet games, hosted by the luxurious new Aspers Casino in Stratford, the very heart of hip East London.
The €1,500+150 NLH Main Event of course promises to be a massive draw, but that’s not all we have in store for you. This year’s Unibet Open London festival will also feature a Casino Challenge, a Heads Up tournament, a Bingo event, a Sportsbook event and much, much more. Plus, for the first time ever, spectators will get to see every single card when we live stream the entire final table, with hole cards,on September 16th!
All this will be brought to you in conjunction with the exceptional venue that is the classy new Aspers Casino in Stratford, one of East London’s most vibrant and dynamic neighbourhoods.

Tournaments
The Main Event is a €1,500+150 NLH freezeout with a 20,000 starting stack and 60 minute blind levels. The side events include a £200 Omaha Bounty event, a two-day £500 Deepstack event, a Ladies’ event and a £200 Six-Max event, as well as cash games available on demand.
Heads Up Event
Unibet Open London will also offer a brand new feature in one of the side events: the new MMHU (“Multi-Match Heads-Up”) tournament format, a new way of playing heads-up poker. Compared to the old-fashioned single knockout system, the MMHU format increases the skill factor considerably: there is no cap on the number of participants, and it also guarantees that all players will have several rounds to prove their prowess before the top combatants square off in the semi-finals and final. If you want to experience the world premiere of a new tournament format, London is the place to be!
Casino Challenge
The Casino Challenge event will also be running during the Unibet Open, taking place on Saturday September 15th at the Aspers Westfield Stratford City Casino and incorporating Blackjack and American Roulette tournaments. The event boasts a prize pool of €35,000 and there are seven prizes up for grabs including a first prize of €10,000! (Exclusive for Unibet qualifiers)
Sportsbook event – Live betting Championships
The Sports Bar at Aspers Casino will be hosting an event based on the wide range of sports betting we have available at www.unibet.com. There is €10,000 up for grabs as well as two nights’ accommodation, dinner and merchandise! Players get €100 in their online accounts and must play 30 different bets for a maximum of four hours on any game taking place at that time (Exclusive for Unibet qualifiers).
Last Man Standing (Dutch Players Only!)
We will be giving away a Unibet Open St Maarten seat or full package to the last Dutchman standing in the Main Event, depending on how many Dutch players participate at London. If 45 or more Dutchies play, the last man standing will walk away with a full package to Unibet Open St Maarten, including an upgraded hotel room, when we visit the Caribbean for our five-year anniversary festival in December!
Welcome Drinks & Players’ Party
We will be putting on a lavish welcome drinks party on Thursday September 13th at the stunning SKY Bar in the casino, and the legendary Unibet Players’ Party will take place on Saturday September 15th at East London’s hottest new nightclub, Las Noches.

We’ve got a completely new Leaderboard format for 2012 – there will be no prize pool deductions this season, and the top three players at the end of the year will win sponsorship to Unibet Open events in 2013. Three places will pay out the following:
