Vancouver 2010 Olympics Ice Hockey Group Draw and Betting

Canada and the USA paired in the same group, whilst Russia's passage looks straight-forward

The gold medal game is not the only ice hockey event to bet on in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics futures market with Bodog.  You can also bet on the individual games and who you think will win their groupings.

Here are the three groups and the odds for each team to win that group (all odds Bodog):

USA: +250 (5/2)

Group B

Czech Republic: +250 (5/2)

Russia: -300 (1/3)
Slovakia: +15000 (15/1)

Key game: Russia vs Czech Republic, February 21st noon PST (3pm ET)

Group C

Belarus: +7500 (75/1)
Finland: +160 (8/5)
Germany: +4000 (40/1)
Sweden: -225 (4/9)

Key game: Finland vs Sweden, February 21st 9pm PST (midnight ET)

The three key games highlighted above are likely the games that will determine who wins each grouping.  As Russia and Canada each have dominating teams the best value for an underdog is probably with Finland at +160 (8/5) in Group C.
