London 2012 hero Usain Bolt is an Evens chance with bookmaker Ladbrokes for both the 100m and 200m at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The lightning-fast Jamaican became the first athlete ever to retain both Olympic men’s sprint titles at London 2012 and Ladbrokes expect him to make it an incredible third double triumph in four years time.

It is 10/1 that he turns his hand to any other event, with the 400m being a much more likely option than the long jump if Bolt was to make a change from sprinting.

Such is his popularity in his home country of Jamaica that Bolt is quoted at just 25/1 to ever be voted as Prime Minister.

Odds of 100/1 suggest he has his work cut out should he wish to pursue a career in professional football.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “All signs now point to Rio, with Bolt fully expected to defend his gold medals.”

Usain Bolt special bets at Ladbrokes:

To compete in the 100m at the 2016 Olympics – 1/5
To compete in the 200m at the 2016 Olympics - 1/5
To compete in the 400m at the 2016 Olympics - 10/1
To compete in any other event (except 4x100m relay) at the 2016 Olympics - 10/1
To win gold in the 100m at the 2016 Olympics - Evens
To win gold in the 200m at the 2016 Olympics - Evens
To become Prime Minister of Jamaica before 2050 - 25/1
To be playing professional football in any European league at the start of the 2016 Olympic Games opening ceremony - 100/1
