The bookmakers make it 10/11 that British athletes win 25 or more gold medals at next summer's Olympics in London.

It is now less than a year to the 2012 London Olympics and Victor Chandler has opened a book on how many Gold Medals Team GB will win and whether they will win more Gold, Silver or Bronze at next year’s Games.

VC Spokesperson Charlie McCann told Bettingpro:

“Team GB were highly successful in Beijing in 2008 winning 19 Golds (13 silver & 15 bronze) and once again we are likely to be extremely competitive in sports such as Athletics, Rowing, Sailing and Cycling and with home-court advantage we expect them to improve again in London. We won 56 Gold back in 1908 but only 3 in 1948 on the two other occasions the Games were held in the English capital. We make Bronze at 6/4 the medal likely to be most popular with GB winners with Gold 7/4 and Silver 2/1.”

Number of GB Golds

10/11 24 or Less
10/11 25 or More

Most Medals

6/4 Bronze
7/4 Gold
2/1 Silver
