Mo Farah is the 7-5 favourite with Coral bookmakers to win Britain’s first athletics gold of the 2012 Olympics when he runs in the 10,000m on Saturday night.
The world champion takes on the might of Ethiopia and Kenya in a bid to win his first of hopefully two gold medals. He takes part in the 5000m next week.
Coral spokesman Gary Burton told Bettingpro: “He’s been in top form for two years, but Farah would surely swap all of his many wins for a gold medal on home ground.”
Christine Ohuruogu is 8-1 with Coral to win the 400m, after comfortably qualifying for the next round, while world champion, Dai Greene, is the 3-1 second favourite to win the 400m Hurdles, after he too had an easy qualifying run.
