Sven Kramer has the betting odds for this event completely dominated.

Sven Kramer of the Netherlands is a huge favorite in the Men's Speed Skating 5000m event for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.  The field of entrants is sizeable but not one skater has been given a reasonable chance of winning this event besides Kramer.

Here are the odds for the top 5 competitors:

1.  Sven Kramer, -400 (1/4), SkyBet
2.  Havard Bokko, +800 (8/1), bet365
3.  Bob de Jong, +1000 (10/1), bet365
4.  Enrico Fabris, +1200 (12/1), Stan James
5.  Carl Verheijen, +2000 (20/1), Stan James

Kramer may be the Roger Federer of speed skating.

Kramer is only 23 years old and was quite young at the Turin, Italy Olympics in 2006 however he still took down a Silver medal in the 5000m and a bronze in the team pursuit.

Since that time Kramer has really come of age as he has taken down 12 gold medals at the World Championships including 3 consecutive in the 5000m.  Kramer is also the current world record holder in the 5000m and his success at this event appears to be a foregone conclusion.

You'll need to pound Kramer's price hard to get a meaningful return but he is one of the best locks at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics as his odds are shorter than even Team Canada's Ice Hockey price.

Go to SkyBet to bet on the Vancouver Olympics.
