The British Olympic Association has made a £1.5m loss last year, needing the Organising Committee for London 2012 to step in with more funds.

Revelations that a £2m payment to help keep the British Olympic Association surfaced.

If the organisation continues to lose money at this rate it could be bankrupt by 2012

British Olympic Association chairman Lord Moynihan will face stern questions about its finances and whether they are being overstretched ahead of London Olympics 2012.

The loss follows a deficit of £1.3m in the preceding year.
